Business Consultancy

On leaving the Associated Engineering Group, I founded the consulting company Skiltran and obtained membership of the Institute of Directors and the Chartered Institute of Linguists.

Work came from clients in the UK, France, Italy, Spain and Turkey, to support business development plans in Europe the Middle East USA and South America. This involved accepting directorships for founding and developing companies/subsidiaries. Once again, I was aided by my knowledge of several European languages and Turkish.

Fields of activity: automotive engineering, civil engineering, magnetics, powder metallurgy, aerospace (producers of aircraft and satellites), business gifts, women's fashion and international retail, the setting up of call-centres

In one project, on behalf of a major German retail company, I carried out a location study and designed and built a 40,000 square-foot warehouse near the M1 in Nottinghamshire, which at the time involved an investment of £3 million.

Based on this international experience, I assist companies in recruiting new senior executives, both in their local countries and internationally. In this, I am assisted by my collaboration with CNT, Hamburg, using their behavioural profiling system.
